WoW Forever Legacy System & Perk Planner
Legacy is World of Warcraft: Forever's account-wide progression system: you earn Legacy Points by completing Legacy Challenges, then spend them in three non-combat trees — Adventure, Resourcefulness, and Professions. Points are earned account-wide but spent per character, and each character can spend up to 16 points at launch (out of 65 earnable early on). Plan your spread below — free, no sign-up.

How the Legacy System Works
-
Earn points account-wide
Legacy Challenges — leveling a specific class, hitting skill milestones, and similar goals — grant Legacy Points on your account.
-
Spend points per character
Each character spends its own points in the Adventure, Resourcefulness, and Professions trees. At launch the per-character spend cap is 16.
-
Keep earning past the cap
Up to 65 points are earnable at the start. Points beyond the spend cap feed the Legacy Reward Track — cosmetic and prestige rewards such as the Spectral Bear Cub.
-
Expect growth
Blizzard has said more challenges, perks, spending cap increases, and entire new trees are planned after launch.
Legacy System FAQ
Do Legacy points replace my 51 class talent points?
No. Legacy is completely separate from the nine classes' talent trees. Class talents still use the standard ruleset — one point per level from level 10, 51 points at 60. Legacy perks are non-combat quality-of-life picks on top of that.
What does “Talented” do — can I get more than 51 talent points?
No. Talented (Adventure tree, 5 ranks) starts your talent point gain at level 9 instead of level 10, but you still can never hold more than 51 total talent points. The demo text does not explain how the five ranks progress, so this planner treats it as flavor context — it does not change the class talent budget.
Are Legacy points shared across all my characters?
Points are earned account-wide, but each character spends separately. Hardcore is the exception: its Legacy progress stays inside the Hardcore ruleset.
Is this Legacy data final?
No — like the class talent data, every perk text was transcribed from the BlizzCon 2026 demo and is marked preview until the beta and launch clients confirm it. When the data updates, this page points to a new immutable snapshot.
Where Does This Data Come From?
Legacy perk text comes from the talentsforever.com dataset (CC BY 4.0), which transcribed it from BlizzCon 2026 demo footage, cross-checked against Blizzard's Legacy Deep Dive recap. Read the data & sources policy for how evidence statuses work.
